A preliminary investigation into possible fraud to the proxies of activists and LR candidates before the second round of municipal elections in Marseille has been opened, prosecutor Dominique Laurens announced on Saturday.
Within the framework of these investigations, a search took place Saturday morning at the local of campaign of the head of list LR Martine Vassal, one learned besides from source close to the file. Thursday, the weekly Marianne and the newspaper of France 2 had revealed that two candidates present on lists of Martine Vassal (LR) proposed "simplified proxies" without respecting the procedures.
