The Great Church of the Old Town has hundreds of years on its neck. When it was inaugurated in 1306, it was called St. Nicolai's Church and so it was called right up to the 17th century. The church was burned down in 1697 and when it was rebuilt it was in the style of Roman Baroque and that is precisely the era you now want to recreate in connection with the renovation to be done.

Criticism of the choice of color

The question of color setting has been mooted and soaked in several instances and not everyone likes the choice of color pink. The beauty council believes that the building will change for the worse. Instead, the Council wanted the yellow color of today to be preserved. But the City Building Office claims that the groundwork received and the changes that are now to be implemented, rather emphasize the architectural and cultural historical value of the Great Church.

In addition to the painting work and the facade renovation, the church tower's fall rails will also be made higher and more adapted to today's security requirements. The roof will be improved and a new chimney hood will also be made.
