Soap dispensers soon to be deployed in Parisian parks - Collectif Clef / Laurent Teyssier

Reconnect with the parks and their games while respecting the new hygiene standards linked to the coronavirus epidemic. From this weekend, around fifty Parisian water fountains will be fitted with soap dispensers. "During the confinement, the mayor of Paris launched a call for tenders to equip the fountains with soap, three projects were selected to be tested, including ours," explains Grégory Lacoua, from the collective of designers Clef.

The first two prototypes were inaugurated this Friday in the Buttes Chaumont park, thirteen other distributors will be installed in fourteen districts of the city during the week. “Confinement led us to reflect on hygiene measures and how to make them accessible to everyone, including the youngest. However, washing your hands is the most obvious gesture, but it was not so simple in public space, ”specifies the designer. A review will be carried out in a month and a hundred fountains should then be fitted with soap dispensers from the winning project.
