The heavy rains, which fell since that night in the Gard, have caused damage, indicate the services of the prefecture.

The Gardon is in flood

According to Météo Languedoc, nearly 200 mm of rain fell at 7:30 am on Friday in Vigan, 250 to 280 mm in Villefort.

A flash flood from the Gardon was also observed between Saint-Jean-du-Gard and Anduze, with an increase of 5 meters in one hour.

10:30 am - First overflows near the Gardon d'Anduze. The situation remains under surveillance with the continuation of the Cévennes rains.
