According to reports, this will be the first high-level meeting between UK and EU leaders on future relations. British Prime Minister Johnson, President of the European Commission Von Delaine, and President of the European Council Michelle will attend the meeting.

According to the report, Feng Delaine said that she was “looking forward” to this meeting, and the British chief negotiator David Frost also said that he was “very happy” that the two sides agreed to “strengthen the negotiation process”.

A British government spokesman said the two sides have agreed on a "timetable" for the July trade talks. This includes "formal negotiations and smaller group meetings in London and Brussels." Discussions will take place every week from June 29 to July 27.

On June 5, the United Kingdom and the European Union concluded the fourth round of future relations negotiations after Brexit, but the negotiations have not made significant progress. The two sides still have a long way to go between fisheries issues and other matters.

The Brexit transition period will end on December 31, 2020. The British side has repeatedly stated that it has no intention of extending the transition period.
