It was when K3 conscripts were up in Stockholm and the high guard went off that the corona pandemic broke out seriously. Shortly after returning to Karlsborg, the conscripts' home trips were canceled. For seven weeks they were then allowed to remain on the regiment. The large exercise Aurora 20 with many dressings was also canceled.

- It was a part that got a little annoyed, but it resolved, says Axel Olsson, conscripted.

Many want to stay

He is one of the unusually many conscripts who want to stay within the Defense. As many as 90 of the 240 muckers from K3 have applied for jobs in the defense. It is already clear to Axel Olsson. He remains in Karlsborg.

- Many tough times where you really get to know what you are going for and how much you can handle. But also how much the friendship means to drive one forward, says Axel Olsson.

Everything in the pandemic's tracks is not negative. For the regular staff, this spring's digital meeting has become a boost.

- Some may not be as afraid of the technology as they used to be. Many people have discovered what time you save on not traveling, says Niklas Brandt.
