Unni was born in late May in the village of Viikusjärvi outside Karesuando in Kiruna municipality. Two days after the birth, the reindeer noticed that the rope did not accept the calf, reports SVT Oddasat.

- The weak almost newborn reindeer calf was first fed to the probe, and then when it got a little more energy is learned to take the bottle, says foster mother Helen Svonni.

The reindeer calf was then named Unni, which means little in Northern Sami. It is not only the people in the family who have taken care of the calf, but also the dogs have taken care of him.

 - It was as if they understood that this little one needed nursing and closeness. They sleep near him, wash and play, says Helen Svonni.

In the video above you can see how the reindeer calf Unni is playing with the dog Silbá.
