One attack resulted in frightened animals and the other with two killed calves.
The attacks that occurred are an indicator of increased risk of serious damage to more domestic animals, writes the County Administrative Board.

The decision is valid from June 11 to June 30, 2020.

- It is not just dead animals that are considered serious injury. Even cattle that have been scared off can mean significant hours of work and costs for damage to both animals and crops, says Mia Kjällander, game manager at the County Administrative Board Östergötland, in a statement.

The longbow reef is located between Borensberg and Finspång. In that area, a wolf pair established themselves in winter 2017/2018, which is the first time in modern times in Östergötland.
In 2019, the County Administrative Board found that the wolf couple had received seven puppies, which means that there are now nine adult wolves in the area.
