“As far as I know, (an invitation to Zelensky. - RT) was not sent,” said Peskov.

He also commented on the reason for this decision. According to him, "the emphasis is on the resumption of official invitations to the heads of state of the CIS."

“As we know, Ukraine is not a de facto and largely de jure participant in the CIS, does not show any desire to continue to work in these structures in any way, and has never signaled its desire to share the joy of the Victory Day,” Peskov said .

Peskov said earlier that Moscow would invite CIS leaders to the Victory Day parade on June 24.

Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu noted that Russia invited the calculations of 19 countries to take part in the parade in Moscow.

The parade will begin at 10:00 and will last up to one and a half hours. The event will involve about 14 thousand people.
