A 46-year-old man was found dead in his garage at Fresne-Camilly near Caen (Calvados), Friday June 5 in the morning. Garbage collector for 26 years, he had received the day before a dismissal letter for serious misconduct, reports Ouest-France . He committed suicide with a shotgun after putting on his work clothes and his safety shoes.

The forties could not bear to be dismissed for this fault. "He admitted to having drank two beers offered by a customer while driving the grab during a pickup tour," a CGT union official in the company told the regional daily. According to him, the employee had only 0.19 g of alcohol in the blood during the first blood alcohol test, and 0.09 g in the second.

The union official also recalls that four dismissals took place in four years and that three resignations were registered with the secretariat of the 33 employees that account for this company. The man who gave birth had an 18-year-old son "whose mother died of illness a few years ago". For its part, the management of the company did not wish to comment.
