This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the report of the committee following the meeting in Brussels.

“At the 31st plenary meeting, the European Data Protection Committee decided to create a working group to coordinate further actions and develop a wider vision of TikTok’s work in the EU,” it said.

As the agency indicates, the committee had previously received a request from a member of the European Parliament, who expressed concern about the collection of personal data of Europeans by this social network belonging to a Chinese company.

Earlier, the Tagansky court of Moscow ruled that Twitter was fined 4 million rubles for violating the law on the localization of Russian user databases.
