President Moon Jae-in attended the 33rd anniversary of the June 10th Democratic Revolt Ceremony held in the Grand Public Office of Namyoung-dong, the former security headquarters, to honor the merit of the democratization movement.

Today's ceremony was held under the theme of'Flower Bloom', which contains the meaning of the history of winning the presidential straight system with the power of the people following the 60th anniversary of the April 19th Revolution, the Buma Revolt, and the May 18th Democratization Movement.

Through the memorial, President Moon evaluated the merit of the contribution of the democratization merit to the development of Korean democracy, and also asked for interest and support for the construction of the Democratic Human Rights Memorial in the old office in Namyeong-dong.

In particular, President Moon gave the National Medal of Merit to 12 contributors to the development of democracy, including Jeon Tae-il, the mother of the mothers of Jeon Tae-il, a late lawyer Cho Young-rae, the late bishop Jo Ji-soon, the late Bishop Jo Jobi-o, and the mother of the late mother Han Yeol-yeol. It was hydrophilic.

This is the first time the government has awarded a merit to the democratic development.

Earlier yesterday, Blue House spokesman Yoon Jae-gwan said in a briefing yesterday, "I think President Moon's attendance at this event will serve as an opportunity to establish the status of the June 10 Democratic Revolt as a national anniversary."

It is the second time since 2017 that President Moon attended the June 10 Democratic Revolution Ceremony, and it is the first time that the current President has attended the ceremony held in the old South Yeongdong Grand Office.
Former President Roh Moo-hyun attended the ceremony for the first time in 2007 as the current president, and during the presidency of Lee Myung-bak and Park Geun-hye, the ceremony was held without a president.

The commemoration ceremony reflects the past's false exercise of public power, and the first officer of the current Police Department was present.
