The Italian club Brescia prevented its striker Mario Balotelli from entering the team's training camp, coinciding with the reports that the club is seeking to dispense with the player's services.

Today, Italian news agency ANSA reported that striker Balotelli returned to the team's camp in Torbole Casalia, one day before the end of his medical certificate, to justify his absence from training due to his intestinal problems.

The report indicated that preventing the player from entering the camp today, may have been the club's first reaction to the e-mail that the player sent to submit the medical certificate, and informed the club of the continuation of the rest period as there was no training program ready for it.

In light of the club’s desire to annul Balotelli’s 29-year contract, a sports arbitration panel is expected to review the matter.

Brescia said that Balotelli did not follow instructions that obligated players to perform individual training in their homes during the general closure period due to the Corona pandemic, and coach Diego Lopez expressed his grumbling that the player lacked enthusiasm.

Balotelli joined Brescia last August after three seasons in France, where he played for Nice and Marseille.
