A research team from the UAE University developed an automated language understanding model based on (Deep Learning) algorithms to assess mental health and study mental disorders on social media during the spread of the new Covid 19 virus.

 The research team emphasized that the results extracted from the proposed model can be used to design and present positive recommendations that support mental health to help people cope with the stresses caused by a COVID-19 outbreak.

The researchers indicated that the social networking platform "Twitter" was chosen as the most popular among other social media platforms by applying the model to the latest Twitter COVID-19 dataset published in April 2020, and the model achieved a high-quality accuracy of 90% in prediction The level of mental health of the tweeters as an experiment for the proposed model.

The research team, consisting of Dr. Heba Ismail and Professor Dr. Mohamed Adel Sarhani and Nafaz Al-Ramzani from the Faculty of Information Technology at Emirates University: The research team studied social media platforms in order to extract statistics and conclusions that help in assessing the psychological state and understanding the degree of public acceptance of life changes, allowing an opportunity to design Psychological support programs help people overcome this crisis.
