Piskaryov said that Efremov should be punished "regardless of his acting achievements and honorary titles."
The deputy also noted that it is necessary to "do everything so that the investigation is objective and not subject to outside influence."
“I have sent relevant requests to the Prosecutor General and the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation,” Piskaryov added.
Earlier it became known that the Moscow prosecutor’s office took control of an investigation into the criminal case of a fatal accident involving Efremov in the center of the capital.
The accident occurred on the evening of June 8 at Smolenskaya Square. Jeep Grand Cherokee under the control of Efremov drove into the oncoming lane and made a collision with Lada.
An examination showed that the artist was drunk during the accident.
