On June 8, General Secretary Xi Jinping visited Ningxia. This is his first domestic inspection after the National People's Congress and the sixth inspection in Beijing this year. The first day's itinerary was concentrated in Wuzhong City in central Ningxia. The general secretary looked at a village, a river, and a community, and each of the inspection sites expressed his affection. Yicun: "Supervising War" to get rid of poverty and attack the main battlefield

　　The Red Temple Fort, an ancient place for the Tun army, became the main battlefield of the poverty alleviation and Yanghuang irrigation project at the end of the last century. With the help of a first-class pumping station, the water of the Yellow River was raised hundreds of meters, and it was continuously sent to the ancient wilderness of central Ningxia. Farmers from the southern mountains moved here, drank the Yellow River water, planted the water to irrigate the land, and bid farewell to the days of water shortage and poverty. In recent years, a total of more than 700,000 mu of cultivated land has been developed in Hongsibao District, and 233,000 immigrants have been relocated.

　　Xi Jinping’s first inspection site in Wuzhong was Hongde Village, an immigrant village in Hongsibao District. There are 1699 households and 7013 people in the village, most of whom have moved from Yuanzhou District and Tongxin County.

　　Last year, Hongde Village lifted the whole village out of poverty, benefiting from such a “poverty alleviation road”: the entire village of 6,646 acres of land was transferred to enterprises to develop characteristic agriculture, planting alfalfa, silage corn, melons, establishing professional cooperatives for breeding beef cattle, sheep and other farming companies. Poverty alleviation factories, etc. Hongde Village's per capita disposable income exceeded 8,000 yuan last year.

　　This is Xi Jinping's fourth visit to Ningxia. He has always been concerned about the poverty alleviation plan of this yellow land. In April 1997, Xi Jinping, who was then the deputy secretary of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee and the counterpart of the Ningxia Leadership Team, came to the Xihaigu area of ​​Ningxia, which was once a "barren world," and was shocked by the poverty here. He led the implementation of poverty alleviation measures such as terraces on slopes, pits in wells, and immigrants in Diaozhuang, which changed the fate of countless poor families. In 2008 and 2016, Xi Jinping visited Ningxia twice. During the inspection in 2016, he also hosted a special symposium in Yinchuan, emphasizing the need to do a good job in cooperation between the eastern and western regions in poverty alleviation under the new situation.

　　In Hongde Village, Xi Jinping visited the villager Liu Kerui's family. The 47-year-old Liu Kerui suffered a right leg injury due to a car accident five years ago and has not yet fully recovered. Now he is working in the village to take care of the reservoir. The whole family is dominated by farming and working income, and they got rid of poverty in 2017.

　　When inspecting Ningxia in 2016, the general secretary once said, "There are still 50 million poor people in the country. By 2020, we must achieve all poverty alleviation goals. This is what I am most concerned about." The time entered the sixth month of 2020. The most important thing is at the most critical moment. Yihe: Major national strategies are "landing"

　　Ningxia, the only province in the nine provinces along the Yellow River that belongs to the Yellow River Basin. The Yellow River enters Ningxia from South Long Beach in Zhongwei City, crosses the Qingtong Gorge, and exits the Mahuang Ditch of Shizuishan City, with a total length of 397 kilometers. Before the Ningxia section of the Yellow River, there was a long-term serious problem of violent channel swing and bank collapse. In 1998, the first phase of the standardized dyke project was launched, which initially surrendered to the channel and controlled the swing of the river. The second phase of the project was launched in 2015 and is expected to be fully completed by the end of this year.

　　The Yellow River is a high-frequency word for Xi Jinping's domestic investigation in recent years. In August last year, the General Secretary emphasized that after the inspection of the Lanzhou section of the Yellow River, we should work together to ensure great protection, jointly promote major governance, and promote the high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin. A month later, he came to the Yellow River Museum and the Zhengzhou section of the Yellow River to conduct inspections and presided over a symposium. It was the first time that "the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin" was a major national strategy. In April this year, the General Secretary emphasized during his inspection in Shaanxi that the Yellow River Basin should be promoted from over-intervention and over-use to natural restoration and recuperation. When inspecting Shanxi in May, he made a special trip to see the Fenhe, the second largest tributary of the Yellow River.

　　Ningxia has more than 40 ethnic minorities such as Hui, Manchu, Mongolian, and Zhuang. It is the largest Hui-inhabited area in the country, with the Hui population accounting for 36.69%. In September 2018, Xi Jinping happily wrote an inscription to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region: "Building a Beautiful New Ningxia and Realizing the Great Chinese Dream".
