  • The health crisis linked to the coronavirus should favor tourism in France during the next weekends and this summer.
  • To inspire you a bit for your vacation, "20 Minutes" has chosen five hikes or bike tours to discover around Paris.

The sunny days are already here and we will have to occupy them. For this, 20 Minutes has unearthed you five hikes / bike rides to make yourself a very exotic trip near Paris.

Take a walk with Yvette

This 17.3-kilometer loop will take you through the Yvette valley, a tributary of the Seine. The departure is from Bures-sur-Yvette (Essonne) and is therefore accessible by RER B and the hike strolls through the municipal forest of Gif-sur-Yvette. "This ride will take your breath away! Promises the Helloways website, which offers this 4h30 itinerary. Beware, however, of the vertical drop of almost 300 m in positive which does not make it an easy walk.

Go around the Tower

In the heart of the Fontainebleau forest (Seine-et-Marne), a loop of around 10 kilometers "takes you to the heights of the eastern part of the forest," says Helloways. You start with the Tour Denecourt which bears the name of the famous Sylvain who traced a number of paths in the forest. The marked blue paths will then take you to the viewpoint of Rocher Cassepot, a unique promontory. This hike of barely 200 meters in elevation gain and lasting 2 hours 30 minutes is accessible from Fontainebleau-Avon station via line R of the Transilien.

The Pavillon de l'Arsenal in partnership with Enlarge your Paris offers Archivélo hikes that combine architecture and biclou. One of them, with a length of 15 kilometers, proposes to follow the Canal de l'Ourcq from Place Stalingrad (19th). It follows a portion of the Scandibérique cycle route, which links Trondheim in Norway to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. "The route between Paris and the Poudrerie park extends over 15 km with the program of three colossi of concrete and bricks on the Pantin side: the Grands Moulins, the General Stores and the National Dance Center, says the Arsenal pavilion. You can extend your walk for ten kilometers to Claye-Souilly (Seine-et-Marne) in an unexpected countryside setting just a stone's throw from the periphery. ”

Storming Fontainebleau Castle

It's a hell of a walk of almost 100 km, 94 km to be precise, which takes you from the Pavillon de l'Arsenal (Paris 12), along the Seine, to end at the foot of the Château de Fontainebleau. Obviously, nothing forces you to go all the way - it starts to be long - and for the return, it is quite possible to embark your bike in the RER D. And that's what the website says 'Archivélo: "On your way, you will change landscapes on numerous occasions, passing from the industrial Seine, from the quays of the 12th arrondissement to the outskirts of Corbeil-Essonnes (Essonne), to the bucolic Seine, from Coudray-Montceaux (Essonne) until arrival. "It makes you dream, doesn't it?

The call of English

It is undoubtedly a classic touring bike. The famous Avenue verte London-Paris allows you to connect the two capitals with the strength of your calves. From the square in front of Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral, it extends over 406 or 472 kilometers depending on whether you are passing through the Epte valley or the Oise valley. Of course, it takes several days to get to the end and right now - you will not be able to cross the border anyway during this period - but it is quite possible to make only a portion. Thanks to this itinerary, boasts the Paris Ile-de-France Regional Tourism Committee, "stroll through the preserved landscapes and small villages of the French Vexin Regional Natural Park or follow the banks of the Oise to meet the settings dear to painters impressionists ”.
