On October 19, 2004, Mohammed Ammouri and 56-year-old language teacher Anna-Lena were stabbed to death in Linköping. Today, just over 16 years later, a man could be arrested for the murders - and now the man, who is 37 years old, has pleaded guilty to the double murder in Linköping.

- My client admits he killed the boy and the woman. Otherwise, I do not want to go into other details. I have been banned by the prosecutor, says the man's lawyer Johan Ritzer.

Thanks to the help of genealogists and genealogy databases, the police have been helped to solve the murders.

"There was not much else to do, because they had 100 percent compliance," says the retired police investigator for the double murder, Nils Ahlberg.

Interesting how this person avoided making further crimes

"And you are extremely interested in how this man has been able to avoid not doing anything else criminal when you have committed two such barbaric murders and then not been under the radar and been able to avoid making further crimes," says Nils Ahlberg.

When Ahlberg was the police investigator for the double murder, they were not only looking for the man in Sweden but also abroad.

- We have been all over Sweden but also abroad and interviewed and tops people. Then, of course, it is a great shame that we have not found this man before and what it is due I cannot answer now.

- But this is a relief for the entire Linköping and the whole of Sweden. It has engaged people throughout our country.
