Every year, Raoul Wallenberg Academy makes efforts to pay attention to young people who have made a difference in their everyday lives. The Young Courage award is given to young people who have shown courage, creativity, empathy, power and civil courage. This year, five initiatives with a total of seven winners were awarded the prize.

- Young people expect nothing back, that's the difference between the elderly and the young. Young people are not the future, they are today and they are our role models, says Mona Hassan, project manager for Young Courage.

Noticed increased racism in school

Faisa Nur and her friends had noticed increased racism in school. Pupils made racist statements and the teachers kept quiet. Then they decided to start the campaign "No racism in the school" which ended with a well-attended demonstration in which the participants went torchlight from the Dome to the Fryshuset.

- I have been a member of various organizations before, but wanted to take my own initiative against racism. The headmaster refused to do anything about it, says Faisa Nur.

What is civil remedy for you?

- Civil remedy is to have an open mind. Courage and strength to stand up for what is right. Dare to stand up for someone else and be able to get into someone else's perspective even though you are not the vulnerable is also important. Civil Courage is something I carry with me wherever I am, says Faisa Nur.

The awards ceremony will take place on August 27, on Raoul Wallenberg's day and Memorial Day.
