The General Command of Sharjah Police provided a segment of workers working in the emirate of Sharjah, within the framework of its community initiatives and roles aimed at protecting the health and safety of community members, a group of great humanitarian assistance and services, to enable them to carry out their professional duties to serve the community in safe and healthy conditions consistent with the preventive and precautionary measures taken by the state Facing the Corona virus and limiting its spread.
The Deputy Director of the Sharjah Police’s Special Tasks Department and the head of the Labor Residence Inspection Committee, Colonel Rukn Omar Ali Al Ghazal, stated that the Sharjah Police General Command has spared no effort to enhance the health and protection of members of society with its various segments, as it has worked to raise awareness of the category of workers living in industrial areas of how Protecting themselves from diseases by following preventive measures, by distributing them to "79955" awareness leaflet and video films with them in (5) languages urging them to follow the precautionary measures in place, such as putting masks on the face, wearing gloves in public places, and applying physical spacing in their places of residence, Their places of residence were sterilized, guidance boards were placed on them, and a special virus testing center was established, pointing out that the new Corona virus examination had been conducted for 198655 workers in the emirate since the pandemic began, in the interest of their health and safety.
Colonel Al Ghazal emphasized that the Sharjah Police carried out 790 field visits, including 469 visits to workers ’homes, and continued with commercial companies and labor camps.
And that the police searched 163 companies in the industrial areas, and made 271 coordination liaison with the concerned parties to see their conditions, and organized 229 visits to the troubled companies.
He continued: Support was provided to the category of workers and financially troubled companies, in cooperation with charitable societies, in addition to providing meals for a wide segment of the workers category, and spending symbolic amounts for them, as well as providing treatment and medicine to patients among them, while ensuring the continuation of necessary services in their place of residence such as: electricity, water and others Among the other necessary services, stressing that all these efforts and services provided to the workers' segment come in recognition of the Sharjah Police for the great role it plays and provides this segment in serving the community.
