China talks about 148 journalists attacked or arrested in the United States: if it happened in China, how would the US media report it?

China News Service, Beijing, June 9th (Reporter Liang Xiaohui) There were 148 journalists attacked or arrested in the United States. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying asked at a regular press conference in Beijing on the 9th: This incident happened in China. How would the American media report it?

Some reporters asked questions. We have seen that recently, the New York Times, the US Capitol Hill and the British Guardian have frequently disclosed news about the attacks and arrests of media reporters who reported on the Freud protests in the United States. Between May 26 and June 2 alone, 148 journalists were affected. Among them, 40 were shot by bullets, 34 were attacked by police officers, and 33 were arrested or detained. Reporters from the US media, including the Associated Press, Fox Television, CNN, NBC, etc., were not spared, and even a female photographer was hit by a rubber bullet in the left eye, causing permanent blindness. Think of some US officials who always use "press freedom" to accuse China of "suppressing" foreign media. what opinions do the Chinese have on this issue?

Hua Chunying responded, "I have a similar question with you. If such a thing happened in China, Russia, or any other country, how would the US politicians or media report?"

She said that China has always been committed to providing all necessary conveniences and assistance for foreign journalists to cover and work in China. It is hoped that the US will also abandon double standards on media issues. (Finish)
