09 June 2020Fear in Castelfranco Veneto, in the province of Treviso, where due to a strong wave of bad weather, the Avenale torrent, a tributary of the Muson dei Sassi, flooded. Late yesterday evening, the Councilor for Civil Protection of the Veneto Region, Gianpaolo Bottacin, went to the place where he explains: "We have sent dozens of volunteers who are working to limit the effects of this flood. I am in constant contact with the President Luca Zaia and with the Mayor Stefano Marcon. The situation is rather worrying, because our forecast models still indicate a few hours of intense rain ". 

"At the moment - Bottacin points out - the bulk of the work is concentrated on the defense of the Retirement Home and the Castle Hospital and is giving good results. However, we have news of numerous flooded basements and the civil protection teams will remain in operation throughout the necessary time".
