- It is these crimes that create insecurity so from the police point of view it is extremely nice that he is now being arrested. The hope now is that he will be prosecuted, says police spokesman Jonas Eronen.

The man is suspected of a case of assault at the end of January, two cases of sexual assault and one case of serious theft in February, sexual assault and attempted rape in April and another assault in May. The crime took place in central Uppsala.

"Violated their sexual identity"

- It's ugly crime. Unprovoked violence, it is sexual and it is aimed at women. He has been very violent even when the headline was sexually abusive but you have classified it as sexually abusive when he violated their sexual identity.

The suspect is not known by the police before.

- Not before, but after the turn of the year, the police caught the eye of this person and they have tried to work against him, but it is not until now that they have been arrested.

Many of these crimes happened recently. Wouldn't you have been able to stop them if he had not been arrested so late?

- Late or not, I have a hard time answering that.

The police suspect that more people have been exposed and want to get in touch with the victims.
