Three teenage girls, aged 15 and 16, were arrested Friday morning in Lyon by BAC police, we learned this Monday from the Sûreté du Rhône. They are suspected of having snatched the handbag of a 55-year-old woman, rue des Rancy in the 3rd arrondissement. The victim, who resisted, fell to the ground and suffered three days of ITT.
The girls were arrested on the orders of a witness, who directed the police in the direction in which they had fled. The teenage girls had taken refuge on the landing of a building and had abandoned the bag in an alley.
Placed in police custody, they acknowledged the facts. The three teenage girls, who live in a home, have been released while awaiting trial on October 15.
