“Work is underway on laying a bypass route, this is a 5.7 km section, which is currently under active construction. The construction process involved more than 100 pieces of equipment, almost 300 people of manpower. To date, about 3 km of the required 5.7 km have been laid, ”TASS quoted the deputy governor of the Murmansk region Yuri Serdechkin as saying.

He noted that the work is scheduled to be completed before June 23.

According to the deputy governor, two difficult points on the route have already been completed.

On June 1, a railway emergency bridge collapsed near Murmansk, on which repair work was carried out since May 30 due to the washing of structures with a flood. A criminal case was opened on this fact. Railway communication with the city was interrupted. The military joined the restoration of the bridge.
