Sustainability was the key word when Ingrid Daal opened the doors to Stockholm's first packaging-free store. The concept, which goes by the name no-waste, means that the goods are stored in the store without plastic or other disposable packaging. Spices, rice and oatmeal are instead sold in bulk and then stored in a shelf system. Liquid soap is sold in large cans and cooking oils in jugs.

- I want a sustainable society, says store owner Ingrid Daal.

The customer must bring his own container

In May, an excise tax of SEK 3 per plastic bag was introduced, which resulted in the country's stores also raising the price of plastic bags. Ingrid Daal, has gone one step further and removed all plastic. But the opening has not been quite simple. The store opened in the middle of the corona crisis.

But if you look past spontaneously and do not have a container with them then?

- Yes, it is a little difficult to get into a new habit, you have to think about what you have to bring with you when you go out.
