Nantes, April 29, 2016, the northern ring road at the Porte d'Orvault level - Frédéric Brenon

Work to widen the northern ring road of Nantes has resumed since April 20. "These works are now entering the construction phase of the wearing course, initially in an external ring road, between the gates of Rennes and Orvault," said the prefecture of the Pays de la Loire region in a press release.

To limit inconvenience to users, on this section of the ring road which receives the highest traffic, the works will therefore be carried out at night. Traffic management measures will be implemented, every night of the week, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., between Monday and Friday, June 19 with the closure of this section of the ring road.
Traffic in both directions will be restored during the day and during the weekend of June 13 and 14.

Deviations implemented

Traffic management measures are diversions for users of the A11 and RN137 who are heading towards Saint-Nazaire, Vannes, Noirmoutier, Bordeaux and Nantes Atlantique: they must take the eastern ring road of Nantes and take the direction from Bordeaux following the S1 route. Appropriate signage will be put in place to orient motorists. "Users are invited to remain vigilant and to exercise prudence and patience", points out the prefecture.
