According to witnesses, frightened residents left this Saturday June 6 the village of Binedama, located in the region of Mopti. The day before, this locality had been surrounded by armed men, who had come aboard some 40 vehicles, according to the Tabital Pulaaku association. 29 civilians were then killed.

The association, which represents Fulani from Mali, claims that it was the Malian soldiers who led the punitive expedition. The president of the association addresses those who tarnish the image of the Malian army: "  We ask the Malian army to remember that it has a sacred mission, a republican mission, which it must to be equidistant from all the components of the Malian nation, and that therefore the offense of facies cannot be a basis for criteria for the elimination of people who have absolutely nothing to do with this jihadism and this terrorism .  "

Called by the press, the Malian Minister of Defense immediately picked up the phone. At this point, he does not want to confirm or deny the version of the facts given by Tabital Pulaaku. General Ibrahima Dahirou Dembélé sends a fact-finding mission next week, before pronouncing and taking any decisions.
