The Spanish newspaper Sport reported that Barcelona rejected a bid of 100 million euros in order to abandon the season discovery and team jewel Anso Fati.

The newspaper pointed out that the president of the Catalan club, Josep Maria Bartomeu, surprised the attendees at a team management meeting on Thursday, by revealing the arrival of an offer for contracting Fati for one hundred million euros, without revealing the identity of the team that made the offer.

Bartomeo examined the faces of the attendees at the videoconference, before confirming his rejection of the offer, and that the player is not sellable, whatever the offers.

Fati (17 years) participated in 24 games, scored five goals in all competitions during this season, and made a remarkable performance, taking advantage of the team’s suffering at the offensive level to present itself as one of the most important talents that Barcelona is betting on in the future.

The meeting examined the financial situation of the team, where current estimates indicate that the club needs additional revenues of 46 million euros in order to achieve financial balance.

According to Spanish press reports, Barcelona will resort to abandoning the services of a number of players in order to cover this deficit and fund new deals during the current transfer period.

Frenchman Othmane Dembele and Brazilian Philippe Coutinho will be the most prominent names the Barcelona administration is betting on to achieve additional revenues, and cover the costs of signing the Argentine striker, Lotaro Martins, and Miralem Pjanic, Juventus player.
