On Saturday, rain has drawn in over the Dalarna and the fire risk is now lower in forest and land than it has been in the past week.

According to the rescue service, the fire risk has dropped to normal levels, which is why the rescue chiefs in several municipalities have decided to lift the fire ban that has been.

The ban was formally lifted from 8am on Saturday morning in the municipalities that are part of the rescue service Dala Mitt, the Northern Dalarana Fire Brigade and the Southern Dalarna Rescue Association (Falun, Borlänge, Gagnef, Säter, Ludvika, Avesta, Hedemora, Leksand, Mora, Orsa)

Even though there is no fire ban, you must still be careful with open fire, take responsibility and ensure that the fire is extinguished before leaving a place, the emergency services call.

Visit your municipality's website to find out what applies to you.
