Protests against police violence and racism are increasing worldwide and in France, as in Paris on Saturday afternoon. According to Alain Bauer, professor of applied criminology, guest of Europe 1 on Saturday, the problem of the police is that they act as if the problem of racism "did not exist".

Protests against police violence and racism are increasing worldwide and in France, as in Paris on Saturday afternoon. Alain Bauer, professor of applied criminology at the National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts in New York and Shanghai and former adviser to Nicolas Sarkozy on security issues, estimates on Europe 1 Saturday that the problem for the French police is that it "is still trying to pretend that this [racism] problem doesn't exist. "
