The campaign video was published by the official account of Donald Trump's presidential campaign on Wednesday. The video, which is still published on Youtube, features images from the demonstrations following George Floyd's death combined with a speech by Donald Trump.

Both Donald Trump himself and his son Donald Trump Jr. retweeted the video before it was suddenly removed from Twitter late Thursday night Swedish time.

"Double standards"

The only thing new that appears where the video was previously posted is a box that says that the video has been reported to be a copyright infringement. Twitter has not commented on the matter more than that. The president has also not commented on the removals. However, Andrew Clark, spokesman for the election campaign, is raging against the social media company.

- Twitter has repeatedly failed to explain its rules that seem to apply only to the Trump campaign but not to others. Censoring the president's important message of unity during the George Floyd protests is an unfortunate escalation of these double standards, he says.

This comes just a week after Twitter fact-checked several of the president's posts. Which prompted Donald Trump to sign a presidential order, which he believes should make social media companies less protected from legal penalties.
