New Congo Ebola outbreak 4 deaths 5 June 9:47

A new epidemic of Ebola has killed four people so far in the northwestern Democratic Republic of the Congo in central Africa. As armed group conflicts over subterranean resources continue, medical authorities are busy dealing with two infectious diseases: the new coronavirus and Ebola.

In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Ebola outbreak occurred in the eastern North Kivu province for two years, and according to the WHO = World Health Organization, 2,280 people died, but recently no new cases have been confirmed. The fashion is expected to come to an end.

Under these circumstances, the Congolese government announced on the 1st that a new outbreak was confirmed in the northwestern state of Equatur, infecting 6 people and killing 4 of them.

In response to this, WHO Africa Regional Secretary-General Moeti said at a press conference on the 4th, "It is reasonable to think that a new epidemic of Ebola is occurring while restrictions on going out in the Congo are being taken against the new coronavirus. I'm concerned."

In Congo, the new coronavirus is spreading mainly in the capital city Kinshasa, and by the end of last month, 3195 people had been infected and 72 people had died.

In Congo, conflicts between government troops and armed groups continue in the east over interests in abundant underground resources such as diamonds.

Medical authorities, along with WHO, are strengthening the testing posture for Ebola hemorrhagic fever in the northwest and are busy dealing with two infectious diseases.
