According to RIA Novosti, the court provided Vinnik’s lawyers with a deadline of June 16 to provide additional documents.

It is noted that the court considered two appeals - one from Vinnik, the second on behalf of his wife, two children and himself.

“They demand the cancellation of the decision of the Ministry of Justice to extradite Vinnik,” said lawyer Zoe Konstantopulu before the meeting.

She said that the appeal demands that Vinnik be returned to Greece and extradited to Russia.

On February 17, the Paris Court of Appeal left Vinnik in custody, dismissing the appeal of the defense. The Russian Foreign Ministry promised to continue to demand the extradition of the Russian.

Alexander Vinnik was arrested in Greece in 2017 at the request of the United States, where he is accused of creating, without a license from the American authorities, a cryptocurrency exchange through which, according to Washington, billions of dollars were laundered.
