Bruno Le Maire Prime Minister, Manuel Valls at Foreign Affairs ... Here is a part of the government imagined Gilles Le Gendre for a reshuffle in a secret note sent to Emmanuel Macron at the end of May. Revealed by the weekly Marianne  this Friday, the document arouses many reactions and weakens the leader of the LREM deputies.

Bruno Le Maire takes the place of Édouard Philippe

Because for a few hours, it is a storm of sharp arrows which falls on the chosen one because of this note. It must be said that the boss of deputies of the majority scratches many personalities. Starting with Prime Minister Édouard Philippe who, and it is a reproach, "takes care not to intervene in the affairs of the majority!" So to replace him, the Paris deputy imagines Bruno Le Maire, despite "his weak charisma".

If the current Minister of Finance declines the offer, Gilles Le Gendre even planned another candidate to put on the suit: Jean-Yves Le Drian. He would then abandon Foreign Affairs in favor of ... Manuel Valls, unsuccessful candidate in the municipal elections of Barcelona in 2019.

Strong reactions among the majority ...

Proposals that quickly went around the encrypted messaging of furious marching deputies. "It is no longer politics, it is a worldly directory", tackles for example one of them. "We discover that Gilles Le Gendre therefore wants to replace the whole government (....). I have no doubt that he will explain this to the deputies", adds Aurore Bergé, reputed to be close to the Prime Minister.

... until the calls for resignation

"I come to tell myself that the old world did not have only faults", comments for his part the walking deputy of the Eure Bruno Questel, at the microphone of Europe 1. The elected official even invites his chief file to "reflect on what he produced as a note, on the consequences of it". "It is now very difficult for him to stay in office." A clear call to resignation which he is far from carrying alone: "He is dead" sums up even a heavyweight of the majority.

An already complicated context for LREM

The publication of this article comes in a difficult context for the group of walkers, who lost fourteen deputies in May, and the absolute majority, with the constitution of a 9th group on the left wing, Ecologie Démocratie Solidarité. For his part, Gilles Le Gendre denounces "many untruths and biased interpretations", without however denying his words.
