  As the 30th spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Geng Shuang has hosted nearly 400 press conferences since his appearance on September 26, 2016, leaving a lot of diplomatic "golden sentences." The "Geng style" smile also impressed the general public.

  In response to the United States’ “throwing the pot” in fighting the epidemic, he quoted the old Chinese saying: “If you can’t do what you want, ask for yourself”, and emphasized that “the enemy of the United States is a virus, not China”; When advocating, he bluntly said, “Don’t overestimate your own ability to make rumors, nor underestimate the judgment ability of others.” When responding to the US crackdown on Chinese companies, he said: Lock all the doors in the name of “security”, only imprison Yourself.

  Geng Shuang has been engaged in diplomatic work for more than 20 years. He has worked in the International Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the International Economic Department, and the Chinese Permanent Mission to the United Nations.
