05 June 2020 Four people died and six were injured in an accident between a heavy vehicle and two cars on the A1 Milan-Naples, shortly after 2.00

It is learned from health sources that there are two children among the four victims of the accident . Six are injured, including two minors, taken to the hospitals of Siena, Arezzo and the pediatric Meyer. Two Pegasus helicopters intervened together with a medical car and a nursing ambulance.

The stretch between Arezzo and Monte San Savino in the direction of Rome has been closed. Medical and mechanical assistance, firefighters, patrols of the traffic police and staff of the 3rd trunk section of Florence of Autostrade per l'Italia immediately intervened on the spot.

There were three kilometers of queue towards Rome. Users coming from Florence and heading to the capital are advised to exit at Firenze Impruneta, take the ordinary road to Siena, then take the Siena-Perugia road to reach the Valdichiana motorway exit from where you can return to A1 towards Rome. Users who have already passed the Firenze Impruneta exit are advised, after the mandatory exit to Arezzo, to take the ordinary road to Monte San Savino where they will return to A1 towards Rome.
