Last fall, the nursing program at the University of Borås was redone. Anna Pantefors is among the last to read the program as it was before the turnaround.

Even before, there have been so-called barring courses on the nurse's program. This means that certain courses must be passed in order for students to be able to continue in education.

The training has been redone

The difference with previous years is that if students do not pass certain courses, students in semester three may need to return to semester two because the education has been changed.

The university believes that they have informed the students about what applies. The reason why the education was made to better respond to how care is conducted in Sweden today.

- We are very proud of the revision. It is now fully in par with the development of society by switching from, for example, inpatient care to outpatient care. There, we would not do otherwise, says Academy Director Päivi Riestola.

University: "Can definitely communicate better"

However, she admits that the university could be better at informing students.

- We would inform more times even during the semester. Although students have their own responsibility. There is no high school education. But we can definitely communicate better.
