British police arrested a man for driving irregularities today, Wednesday, after his car rammed two people near Sloane Square in central London.

"Security collars were imposed and buildings in the surrounding area were evacuated as a precaution, while police searched the car ... a man was arrested later for driving violations," the Metropolitan Police said in a statement.

British police announced earlier today that they were dealing with a "suspicious car" at the Sloane Square in London, while the deputy parliament from the region said that he heard that a vehicle climbed over the sidewalk and shocked pedestrians.

"I hear a vehicle climbed over the sidewalk and hit pedestrians," Representative Greg Hands wrote on Twitter.

He added, "I check eyewitnesses that everyone is fine."
