The Spanish football season will resume one day before the scheduled date on June 10, with the second half of an unfinished match played due to offensive chants in a historical incident that occurred for the first time in Spanish stadiums.

A statement by the Spanish Football Association said that the two clubs, Rayo Vikano and Albacete, had agreed to play their matches without fans in the second division postponed since last December due to offensive chants from the second half.

The Spanish first division season will be completed on June 11 without fans, after three months of stoppage due to the Coruna epidemic, with a local summit match between Sevilla and Real Betis.

The second degree season will resume normally on June 12 with four matches.

The negative tie between Rayo and Albacete prevailed before the match was halted after the Rayo fans cheered against the Ukrainian striker Roman Zuzulia, accusing him of Nazism and belonging to right-wing militant groups in his country.

It was the first and only incident in Spanish football that a match was interrupted due to hostile chants, although racist chants were heard in some matches, including a confrontation between Espanyol and Athletic Bilbao last January.
