The Ministry of Health sparked the wrath of many social media pioneers in Egypt after announcing the cost of treating the Corona virus in private hospitals, stressing that the new decision would deprive the poor of treatment.
The high incidence of infection and the refusal of many government hospitals to receive new people infected with the virus due to the lack of places or capabilities, towards some of the infected people to private hospitals.
The Egyptian media had launched an attack on private hospitals because of what he described as excessive prices, which may reach 30,000 pounds per day, according to him, so that a new and binding price is set by the Ministry of Health.
According to the new price, the cost of isolation in the internal section will range between 1500 and 3000 pounds per night, while the cost of isolation begins with intensive care without an industrial respirator from 5,000 pounds to 7,000 pounds, and increases in the case of including a respirator to between 7500 and 10 thousand pounds .
The Ministry of Health and Population announced yesterday, Monday, that it recorded 47 deaths due to the Corona virus, in addition to 1152 cases, bringing the total number of declared infections to 27,536 cases, knowing that activists in the communication sites have often expressed doubts about these numbers, both with regard to the authorities intent to reduce the number of cases Or failure to perform the necessary checks.
These activists affirmed that the price of treatment set by the government in private hospitals is still at the level of the upper-middle class, and that there is no room for ordinary citizens, or for the simple people.
Others asked why private and military hospitals do not open their doors to treat all the injured at the state's expense, given that government hospitals are unable to receive more cases.
