It is 9:15 am when the firefighters are called by a local resident to come to the aid of a person seen in the port of La Salis, in Antibes (Alpes-Maritimes), visibly drowned.

The victim is unconscious when the emergency services lift him out of the water. The man, around 60, was declared dead by the doctor on the spot, despite numerous attempts to revive him.

Open police investigation

For the moment, details on the circumstances of the tragedy are not known. Contacted by firefighters after the declaration of the death of the victim, the police opened an investigation to determine the causes of the death of this sixty-something man.
