At several of Ljungby's elderly homes, barriers of plexiglass have been set up so that relatives and the elderly can see each other without risk of contagion spreading on the accommodation.

What has been noticed lately is that relatives go around the plexiglass plate. It has happened that people have come forward and hugged an elderly relative.

- Unfortunately, we see a certain disrespect in the fact that relatives do not follow the rules that are set. We have seen a number of examples of this during our last week at our accommodation, says social manager Greger Larsson.

The total ban on visits to the problem continues

The municipality now calls for sharpen- ing. Ljungby's elderly housing has so far had a low number of infected people, and Social Manager Greger Larsson says he will not hesitate to reintroduce a total visitor ban this summer unless the rules are respected better.

- The reason we go this way is that we have managed to protect the elderly this far. When we see that the trend is becoming very fast, one is getting too close and not respecting the rules, so we must be clear immediately.
