“We are also very pleased that 75 soldiers and officers of the Guards Brigade of the Serbian Forces will participate in the Parade,” the diplomat said.

According to him, in the Second World War in the territory of then Yugoslavia, the Serbian people suffered the most casualties.

“We in Serbia are aware of this and know perfectly well who broke the Wehrmacht ridge in World War II - it was the Red Army. The citizens of Serbia will never forget the great help and the victims of the Red Army in the liberation of Belgrade and the northern parts of Serbia, ”he emphasized.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the Victory Parade.

According to Russian Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu, the Russian side invited the ceremonial calculations of 19 countries to take part in the Victory Parade on Red Square. 

It is expected that the parade in Moscow will begin on June 24 at 10:00 and will last up to one and a half hours.
