The show "You have the floor" returns Thursday evening on France 2, for a number dedicated to "France which is leaving", and which will mark the return of major debates with a duel between the Minister of Economy Bruno Le Maire and EELV MEP Yannick Jadot.

"This is an evening to respond to the concerns of the French, talk about the impact of this crisis on our daily lives and see what are the keys to the recovery and the solutions," Alix Bouilhaguet told AFP. , editor-in-chief of the program presented by the duo Léa Salamé / Thomas Sotto.

The evening will begin with a sequence in an economic tone, around Bruno Le Maire, with the CEO of the hotel giant Accor Sébastien Bazin, the chef Philippe Etchebest, the philosopher Julia de Funès, as well as a duplex interview with the President of the Bank European Central, Christine Lagarde.

The heart of the program will be devoted to a debate between MM. Lemaire and Jadot, around the ecological transition and calls to "green" the recovery.

"It is the return to our know-how of political broadcasting, the political duel, while the crisis had put the debates under the snuffer and we heard in recent months the personalities in silo, without the possibility of frank dialogue and direct, "says the editor.

The program will end with a time devoted "to populism" and to "relation to the truth", with the lawyer and writer François Sureau.

This format, which marks the return in force of the "duel" of guests in the manner of the former "Political broadcast", is part of the strategy of "You have the word" since its launch in September 2019, consisting in adapting its formula according to the news, sometimes around a large panel of guests, or a great tenor, or even a group of ministers…

"We tested a lot of formulas this year and the truth for the end of this season and for next year is that we must remain completely free", and continue to adapt the format according to the subjects, explains Mrs. Bouilhaguet.

One of the constants remains the place given to the civil society and to the French, to which the name of the emission (which replaced last year "The political emission") alludes.

On the practical side, "VALP", which will return to its usual studio (after a special edition at the end of March from the set of JT France 2), will apply strict health instructions: absence of public, no more than four speakers at a time on set, physical distance, backstage masks, and even different arrival times for guests, to prevent them from crossing paths.
