"I will mobilize all federal resources, whether civilian or military, to stop the riots and looting," Trump said in a speech on Monday night, about the wave of protests and violence taking place in the country following the killing of Asmar George Floyd at the hands of police in Minnesota.
Trump stressed that his government would implement justice in the killing of George Floyd, who was killed by an American policeman, and that he would respect the country's law.
Trump added that he would work to protect peaceful protesters and would not allow their votes to be hijacked.
Trump noted that many state governors have failed to protect their citizens from gang attacks and thieves, explaining that these moves are being led by local terrorists and this is a crime against humanity.
Trump stated that he would issue presidential orders to stop sabotage and destruction, and that he had asked state governors to deploy the National Guard in sufficient numbers to protect citizens.
He added: "I will take a decision to deploy the army in case matters escalate to quickly establish security and order."
Trump also warned of what he described as "organizers of terrorism" and the movements that they would be tried, and said, "It is not acceptable to accept the scene of the assault on a woman defending her store."
