A dramatic accident took place Sunday in the town of Sourzac, in the Dordogne. A motor boat moving on the L'Isle river capsized in the afternoon with two couples on board approaching a dam, reports France Bleu.

A 40-year-old pregnant woman from the Bordeaux region died after the boat was overturned. Her companion and her parents-in-law, who were also on board, could not save her, nor the young people who came to their rescue.

Upon their arrival, the members of Smur de Perigeux could only note the death.

This drama comes 48 hours after another similar occurred Friday at the end of the day in Saint-Médard-de-Mussidan. A father, his partner, his daughter and his son-in-law went for a boat trip near the Chandos dam. The 31-year-old man drowned after capsizing the boat.

According to the Prefect of the Dordogne, in these two tragedies, the victims were not wearing life jackets. The representative of the State services wished to recall that it was compulsory when going out on rivers.
