The Italian football championship, interrupted since March 9 by the coronavirus epidemic, will resume on Saturday June 20 with two late matches, the first disputed will be Torino-Parma, said Monday the League.

This resumption dated June 20 was officially announced Thursday without further details by the Minister of Sports Vincenzo Spadafora.

On Monday, the League released the full end-of-season schedule, with 12 full days to go, as well as four late games for the 25th day. According to this calendar, the 38th and last day will be played on Sunday August 2.

The weekend of June 20, the League therefore decided to play the four late games of the 25th day, which will put the 20 teams on the same line, with the same number of matches played.

The first meeting on the program on Saturday 20 will be Torino-Parma at 7:30 p.m., before Hellas Verona-Cagliari at 9:45 p.m. The next day, Atalanta Bergamo-Sassuolo will be played at 7:30 p.m. and Inter Milan-Sampdoria Genoa at 9:45 p.m.

The 27th day will be contested immediately after, with matches scheduled from Monday 22 to Wednesday 24 June.

To be able to end the season, the teams must systematically play during the week and at the weekend, from the start until the end of the season in early August, i.e. 124 matches to be played in 44 days.

The programming of the last matches remaining to be played in the Italian Cup has not yet been announced. According to the wish of the Minister of Sports, the last meetings of the event should be disputed before the resumption of Serie A.

The return semi-finals between Naples and Inter Milan on the one hand and between Juventus and AC Milan on the other hand should take place on June 13 and 14 or on June 12 and 13. The final should be scheduled for June 17 in Rome.

For this unusual end of the championship in the height of summer, the League has also changed the match schedules to limit the effects of the heat. The vast majority of games will be played at 7:30 p.m. or 9:45 p.m. Only 10 matches, mostly scheduled in the north of the country, will be played earlier, at 5:15 p.m.,
