Agents from the Mossos d'Esquadra and the Alcanar Local Police rescued an 18-year-old boy last week who had fallen into a well about 20 meters deep located on a farm next to the N-340 road. young man climbed on the metal plate that covered the hole of the well to cover it but it gave way due to oxidation, which caused it to fall inside. However, he managed to stand with his hands and feet on the walls of the well about 10 meters from the surface.
The father notified the emergency telephone number of the fall of his son and that they could not see him but were listening. The police patrols that traveled to the place managed to contact the young man who explained that he was holding on pressing on the walls but that he was beginning to be tired and did not know how long he could resist.
For this reason, the agents acted quickly without waiting for other specialized rescue teams, and for this reason they used slings from the police vehicle and a ladder placed over the hole as a pulley until the victim was lifted from about 10 meters deep. The young man suffered various injuries, which he was assisted by a health team by the well, without having to take him to the hospital.
