In mid-March, the number of planned operations performed markedly decreased and they continued to decline. During the second half of April, the number of planned surgeries was the lowest, but has since increased in many places.
In Uppsala, 63 percent of the normal number of planned surgeries is now performed, reports Dagens Medicin.
One reason for the upturn is that access to protective equipment has improved.
